A total of 212 teams with up to 4 students each, competed from 92 schools. All HiMCM teams, worked at their own schools during a designated 36-hour period from November 7 to 20, 2001. Each high school team chose one of the two modeling problems offered and then constructed their solutions.

A Complete Results Report, with designations for all participants, is available in portable document format
